Get your UIS Account

Within three days of your admission, you will receive an email from UIS with your 8-digit token (an activation code) to "Claim your NetID." The email will have the subject: Set Up Your UIS Account and a link to the University of Illinois system NetID Registration page. By "claiming your NetID" you're creating your network login and password (your electronic identity) to UIS computing and networking services. Remember your NetID and password to access all your UIS network portals including UIS email, online learning systems, billing, registration, degree audits, and countless others. Make sure you set up a password recovery when you are setting up your NetID in case your forget your NetID or password.

Once you have set up your NetID and password, your next step is to set up your Duo 2 Factor authentication - which is an added layer of security to access our portals.
