Diversity and Inclusion
UIS embraces diversity, as part of our success and excellence.
We are committed to having a campus that celebrates diversity, and recruits diverse talent, making every student feel included and welcome.
The university is a place where people from different cultures and experiences learn together. We include and value all of the members of our campus community.
We strive to create a campus climate that values diversity and that eliminates intolerance and stereotyping. Unfair treatment, intimidation or threats of violence is always unacceptable and we will do everything necessary to support and protect members of our campus community.
– Chancellor Koch and Interim Provost Ermatinger
