Gender and Sexuality Student Services (LGBTQIA+)
As part of our services, Gender and Sexuality Student Services presents educational, cultural, and social opportunities for all students to challenge intolerance and promote affirmation in an effort to create a more inclusive and affirming campus climate for sexual and gender minorities. LGBTQIA+ includes but not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, genderqueer, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexuals and their cisgender and heterosexual allies.
Although the physical office location is temporarily closed due to mandated social distancing during COVID-19, the professional staff are available for confidential individual conversation and support via Zoom. Please emailĀ GSSS Graduate Assistant Sara-Ann Rosen: srose25@uis.edu to schedule a private meeting that is convenient for you. Available times are M-F, 9AM-5PM. We all offer virtual opportunities to connect each week and will announce these schedules for December and January shortly.
