Accelerated Courses

Accelerated Course Schedule Information

UIS offers accelerated courses outside of our traditional full semester dates to provide flexibility to students as they work toward the completion of a UIS program. These courses are termed First Half, Last (Second) Half, or Intersession because they are offered during a portion of the semester.

Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in only one accelerated course during a particular period or speak with their advisor about the ability to be successful in more than one accelerated course at a time. Grades are posted to official academic transcripts three times per year, at the end of the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Accelerated course offerings are available to view online. Please visit the Dynamic Course Schedule (see instructions at the bottom of the page below). Please address any questions to the Office of Records and Registration (217 /206-6174 or registrar@uis.edu).

Filter results to reflect the desired semester from the pull-down list,
Select the desired part of term (e.g., "Second Half"), and
Click "Apply Filters" to view all course sections offered for that part of term.
