The University of Illinois Springfield will host its 11th annual Prairie Stars 5K and 1 Mile Walk at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) on the UIS campus.
Think you know the NFL? Put your predictions to the test with NFL Pick’em. Each week, choose which team you think will win each NFL game. The person with the most correct picks each week will win a $15 gift card to The Library. The season-long winner will receive $50.
Once a Star, Always a Star is the theme for UIS Homecoming 2026, taking place Oct. 4-10.

The annual UIS Prairie Stars 5K and 1-Mile Walk is at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10, starting at TRAC. UIS students, faculty and staff can register for $25 through Oct. 1.
Championship Bocce Ball Game for UIS Staff
Join in on the fun and enjoy comradery between UIS staff at our Summer Bocce Ball League championship!
The Staff Summer Bocce Ball League I championship game will be held Wednesday, June 17, at noon at Rec Park between the Tactical Tossers (4-0) and Court Analysts (4-0). Come and out watch some championship bocce!
