Commencement Ceremonies
Two commencement ceremonies (divided by college) will be held in downtown Springfield at the Bank of Springfield Center:
Students planning to participate in commencement must complete the following steps.
Step #1 – Confirm Participation:
This is the FINAL opportunity for students graduating in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 who have not already taken the steps outlined below to do so by the posted deadlines.
Students graduating in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 must submit an online Graduation Application via myUIconnect (“Student Self-Service- Home-Graduation” link) by the deadlines listed below:

The 55th annual UIS Commencement ceremonies will be held at the Bank of Springfield Center in downtown Springfield on Saturday, May 9, 2026. There will be two ceremonies as follows:
