Commencement Ceremonies
Two commencement ceremonies (divided by college) will be held in downtown Springfield at the Bank of Springfield Center:

Dear Students —
UIS Commencement will be here before we know it, and our Commencement Committee is hard at work planning the 2026 ceremonies, slated for May 9. This year’s ceremonies will take place in downtown Springfield at the Bank of Springfield Center. To accommodate as many guests as possible for our graduates, we will be holding two ceremonies, divided by college:
Students graduating in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 must submit an online Graduation Application via Student Self-Service (apps.uillinois.edu - “Graduation” tab) by October 6, 2025 (Fall 2025) or February 20, 2026 (Spring 2026). Students MUST verify that all curriculum information is listed accurately BEFORE submitting an online Graduation Application (including major, minor, concentration, etc.).
UIS releases complete list of 2025 graduates
A total of 1,587 students earned degrees from the University of Illinois Springfield at the conclusion of the spring semester on May 10, 2025, pending completion of university requirements.
Graduate names are listed below based on the city of residence on file with UIS Records and Registration at the time of graduation.
UIS celebrates 54th annual commencement with more than 1,000 graduates
The University of Illinois Springfield held its 54th annual Commencement ceremony in three parts on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Sangamon Auditorium. Out of the 1,587 UIS students who were eligible to graduate, 1,071 participated in the ceremony.
Graduation is an exciting time and you deserve to celebrate! However, with large crowds, coordinating with families from out of town, and trying to celebrate with your friends while studying for finals can all be a little hectic. Let’s take a minute to go over some tips to help make your day less stressful.
UIS to celebrate commencement during three ceremonies on May 9 and 10
The University of Illinois Springfield will hold its 54th annual commencement during three ceremonies in the UIS Performing Arts Center’s Sangamon Auditorium on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. A total of 1,071 students will participate in the ceremony out of the 1,587 students who are eligible to graduate.
Dear Faculty and Staff:
The communication below was just sent to all graduates participating in the upcoming commencement ceremonies.
A participation confirmation was sent earlier today via email to all those who have taken the necessary steps to participate in this year’s UIS Commencement. If a confirmation email was not sent to your official University of Illinois email address, it means that you are not registered as participating in this year’s commencement. Only those students who received a participation confirmation will be allowed to participate. Therefore, if you feel that you should have received a confirmation and did not, you must contact us immediately (
Eligible students who have not already submitted the onlineIntent to Participate form MUST do so no later than MONDAY, March 24 (see email below for more information). Without your participation confirmation, we will not know of your intent to participate. Therefore, you MUST submit your online intent by the deadline date.
