ITS will be replacing our campus firewalls and outside routers on August 13 starting at 11 p.m. This work will cause a network outage (including Internet and Wi-Fi) for the entire campus. We expect network connectivity to be restored by 2 a.m. or earlier.
As we head into the new school year and new season, you may be reviewing your closet and making some changes. If you have professional items in excellent condition, please consider donating them to the UIS Professional Clothing Closet for student use. We have limited space and can take a few additional items at this time.
Dear Campus Community,
We are reaching out to inform you about an upcoming service call that will be conducted the morning of Monday, August 12 on the fire alarm speaker system in PAC. During this service call, the speakers will be tested to ensure all are working properly.
Please note:
ITS has monitors and wireless keyboards/mice available for free for employees only - first come, first serve!
Fall Welcome is looking for volunteers to staff Welcome Tables at various locations on campus for the first few days of classes to help direct students and guests, provide answers to common questions, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Dear Campus Community,
We are reaching out to inform you about an important upcoming project on the Founders Residence Hall roof. For the safety and integrity of the building, we must temporarily remove the green roof to inspect the underlying rubber membrane.
This inspection will help us identify any areas needing repair and determine if replacement is necessary. We’ll use the results of the inspections to guide our planning and scheduling. While we don’t have a specific timeline yet, work may begin as early as Monday, August 5.
