University of Illinois Springfield Student Affairs staff and programs were honored with awards at the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Region V Conference in Madison, Wisconsin, October 27-29, 2022.
Marie Watson, associate director of student life, received the Inspiring Vision Award for mid-level professionals.
One of the longest traditions is back at the University of Illinois Springfield.
Springfest is planned by multiple student organizations and features a variety of activities for students across campus.
"Fun that's what it's geared towards," said Springfest chairwoman Paige Williams. "Fun and I think the service project is fun. A lot of other students here think that the service project is fun, so the entire week is geared towards fun but we do set aside one day in the week to give back."
