Student Leadership Center

The Student Leadership Center (SLC) is a vibrant, collaborative hub designed to support student connection, involvement, and leadership development. Located in the Student Union, the SLC features an open, inviting layout with flexible seating, spacious work areas, and access to technology that makes it easy for students to study, meet, and create together.

Student Government Association & Standing Organizations
The Student Government Association (SGA) at University of Illinois Springfield promotes a democratic and representational form of student government, providing students a forum and opportunities for leadership development. The SGA promotes social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities for students.
Student Activities Committee (SAC)
The Student Activities Committee (SAC) is the primary student‑led programming board responsible for planning fun, engaging, and inclusive events for the UIS campus community. From large‑scale traditions to weekly activities, SAC helps create opportunities for students to connect, relax, and build campus spirit.
Student Organization Funding Association (SOFA)
The Student Organization Funding Association (SOFA) oversees the allocation of student activity funds to Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). SOFA ensures that RSOs have equitable access to financial resources that support events, initiatives, travel, and programs that contribute to a vibrant and active student life at UIS.
