To comply with the Department of Justice’s accessibility ruling, the Office of Web & Digital Strategy will now only allow PDF uploads to websites, as they are compatible with current accessibility scanning tools. Uploading other file types will no longer be permitted.
Action Required: Convert Non-PDF Files by September 31, 2025
Please review your uploaded documents and convert any non-PDF files by September 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM. We strongly encourage you to begin this process as soon as possible, as file remediation can be time-consuming. Before converting your files to PDF, run the Microsoft Word Accessibility Checker to ensure each document meets accessibility standards. If issues are detected, remediate them in the original Word file before conversion. Avoid editing PDFs directly; instead, retain your original source files locally in case further remediation is required. For help, visit Creating Accessible Documents.
If you need assistance with remediation, the Office of Digital Accessibility is available to support you. However, please note that requests may take up to 2–3 weeks or longer, depending on the current volume in their queue. If assistance is needed, please contact ODA.
After the deadline, all non-PDF document links will be removed.

Each unit is responsible for ensuring these documents meet accessibility standards and remediating them as needed. Please review your box documents and delete old files, and make sure to test any new files for accessibility prior to uploading. Please label any Box links as follows:
