Encouraging collaborative learning and reflection among faculty using AI-powered tools can have a significant impact on the quality of teaching and learning in educational institutions. AI-powered tools can provide valuable insights and data that can help faculty members make informed decisions about their teaching practices and strategies. By using AI-generated insights to inform their reflective practice, faculty members can gain a better understanding of their students’ learning needs and tailor their teaching strategies accordingly.

This webinar will present several ways that AI-powered tools can be utilized to encourage collaborative learning reflection among faculty, including facilitating online discussions, providing personalized feedback, analyzing data, and creating virtual communities to connect and share resources. Strategies for promoting a culture of sharing best practices and ways that institutions can encourage teachers to participate in regular professional development sessions focused on using AI-powered tools and technologies will also be shared.

Speaker Bio

Ellen Ramsey

Ellen Ramsey, PhD

Associate Professor – Lynn University

Ellen Bruno Ramsey began teaching on campus for Lynn University, as an adjunct instructor, in 1994 for the College of Business and Management, after receiving her Master’s Degree (with a concentration in International Business). She went on to receive her Ph.D. in Corporate Leadership in 2001. Dr. Ramsey was one of the first professors to develop an online course curriculum in business (back in 2003), and became part of the full time faculty in 2015. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020 and also holds the title of Academic Administrator for Adjunct Faculty within the College of Business and Management, as well as Chair of the Teaching Excellence Committee for Lynn University. In July of 2023, Dr. Ramsey earned her CAPM certification (Certified Associate in Project Management) from the Project Management Institute. She also offers executive coaching services for leaders and managers in industry. Most recently, Dr. Ramsey is lead researcher for a qualitative study regarding AI in higher education.

Instructional Design Manager – Lynn University

JeVaughn has a shared background in both education and business. She currently holds a Master of Science degree in Education, Media Design and Technology, Master of Science in Media Management, and most currently a doctoral student. JeVaughn specializes in creating, presenting, and delivering content through various instructional design methodologies, including interactive delivery, public speaking, creating podcasts, video presentations, and alternative learning methods, including games, music, and multimedia. JeVaughn is determined to use various strategies to increase interest through creative instructional design, training and development, technical writing, project management, and software training. When she is not attempting to change the world of education as we know it, you can find her in the kitchen baking delicious vegan goodies.
