Teaching Strategies for Supporting Students' Mental Health

This session will address multiple teaching strategies for supporting students' mental health, including:

  • A brief introduction to androgogies that support student mental health and wellness
  • Support in the curriculum, including policies and syllabus items
  • Teaching strategies, including weekly practices and opportunistic interventions
  • Governance strategies, including ways to supportively engage in classroom management
  • Auxiliary practices, including advising and office hours
  • and Resources and Referral Strategies

Presenters will facilitate dialogue around these topics and attendees will feel empowered with practical strategies to implement in their classrooms.
