In the Student Union Central Ballroom on April 11th at 1:30 the university will host the Outstanding Master's Thesis Awardee Presentation. This event honors the graduate student who won the award for the outstanding master's thesis in 2023-24 (last year). They will usually discuss their thesis for about fifteen to twenty minutes after they receive their award.
Keynote Speaker is Dr. Aleksander Ksiazkiewicz, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Sleepy Citizenship: The Biopolitics of Rest in American Democracy
From 11:00am to 12:30pm on Friday, April 11th students from UIS will present posters of their research or specimens of their art work and meet with visitors to the Student Technology, Arts, and Research Symposium. The poster and art exhibition takes place just outside the main central ballroom in the UIS Student Union.
