The Illinois Springfield women's golf team is set to compete at the UMSL Spring Invitational this week, hosted at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, Mo. The three-round event begins with two rounds on Sunday, followed by the final 18 holes on Monday. Play is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. each day.

The tournament field features several familiar GLVC opponents and nationally ranked programs, providing a challenging tune-up just weeks ahead of the GLVC Championship. Among the top-ranked teams in attendance are No. 20 Missouri-St. Louis, No. 39 Tiffin, No. 40 Indianapolis, and No. 47 Ashland.

Last Time Out
The Prairie Stars finished sixth at the Flyers Spring Invitational, recording a team score of 663. Elaine Grant led the way with a standout performance, capturing her first career tournament win with rounds of 73 and 74 for a 147 (+3) total. Sara Prieto tied for 30th with a 169 (+25), while Isabelle Segal and Lia Rody also contributed with steady play, finishing tied for 33rd and 39th, respectively.

UIS will compete with a five-player lineup of Elaine Grant, Ira Joshi, Isabelle Segal, Lia Rody, and Sara Prieto.
