The Prairie Stars completed 36 holes on Sunday at the UMSL Spring Invitational, hosted at Norwood Hills Country Club. With 18 holes to go, UIS sits 8th out of 18 teams heading into Monday's final round.

Through Two Rounds
  • UIS posted team scores of 319 and 307, showing improvement in the second round. The Stars are currently one stroke ahead of Maryville and two clear of Davenport, while trailing No. 47 Ashland by just six shots.
  • Elaine Grant led the way individually, carding a 74 (+3) and a 70 (-1) to sit tied for fifth.
  • Ira Joshi is tied for 51st with rounds of 82 and 78.
  • Lia Rody posted scores of 83 and 78, Sara Prieto shot 80 and 82, and Isabelle Segal improved in round two with an 81 after an opening 89.
  • The heart of the UIS lineup showed notable second-round improvement, a promising sign as the Prairie Stars remain within striking distance of several nationally ranked programs.
