The UIS men's and women's track and field teams have both been named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, recognizing their outstanding achievements in the classroom during the 2024–25 academic year.

Leading the way, the UIS women's track and field team finished the year with the highest team GPA of any NCAA Division II women's program, posting an exceptional 3.867 GPA. Their performance not only topped the DII charts—surpassing second-place Ouachita Baptist (3.760)—but also ranked among the best in the country across all divisions, with only two NCAA Division III teams recording higher GPAs.

The UIS men's team also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors with a 3.283 GPA, further reflecting the program's strong academic culture and commitment to excellence in both athletics and academics.

In addition to the team awards, Madelyn Miller was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. This individual honor is given to student-athletes who qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships, rank among the top 50 nationally in their event, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic program celebrates programs and individuals who demonstrate excellence in both competition and academics. UIS Track & Field continues to set a high standard on and off the track.
