The UIS men's track and field team will close out the regular season this weekend at Indiana State University's Gibson Invitational, held Friday evening and all day Saturday in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The Prairie Stars are sending a large group of distance runners, including 12 athletes in the 5,000 meters. In the 1,500 meters, UIS will be represented by Carson Cowling, Nathan DeMarb, Finn Loken, Lucas Naugle, and Noah Tegler.
Cowling will double back in the 800 meters, where he'll be joined by Aidan Donohue and Ayden Groves.
GLVC Performance List
With the conference championships approaching, this meet provides one final opportunity for UIS athletes to improve their standing on the GLVC performance list.
In the 800 meters, Ryan Jones is the only UIS athlete currently in the top 24, ranked No. 13 with a time of 1:56.14.
The 1,500 meters features Isaac Cortes at No. 5 (3:52.58) and Aidan Donohue at No. 6 (3:54.82). Gabe Martinez also holds the No. 15 spot with a time of 3:58.70.
In the 5,000 meters, Noah Tegeler leads the way at No. 4 (14:43.99), and is joined by three more Prairie Stars in the top 8. UIS currently has 12 runners ranked in the top 23 of the GLVC, including a tight group from positions 4 through 10.

Spectators can attend the Gibson Invitational for $5 at the gate. Live results will be available on Athletic Live through Midwest Timing.
