UIS junior distance runner Madelyn Miller has officially qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, taking place May 22–24 at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo.

Miller will compete in both the 10,000m and 5,000m events. The 10,000m final is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. CT on Thursday, May 22, with the 5,000m final set for 9:05 p.m. CT on Saturday, May 24.

She recently earned All-GLVC honors with a third-place finish in the 5,000m at the conference championships. Earlier this spring, Miller set school records in both events, running 34:29.52 in the 10,000m and 16:27.78 in the 5,000m. During the indoor season—her first national championship appearance—she placed 10th in the 5,000m to earn Second Team All-America honors with a program record time of 16:38.16.

Now eyeing her first outdoor national honors, Miller will face elite competition from programs such as Grand Valley State, Adams State, Lewis, and West Texas A&M. The championships will stream live on NCAA.com, with live results available via Leone Timing.
