Dear colleagues:
The provided document has information regarding a system-wide scholarship, the Dr. Kazys Grinius Endowment Scholarship. The Grinius Scholarship was established to help fund the education of University of Illinois students “of Lithuanian descent as well as to students who have demonstrated interest in Lithuanian history, culture, and/or language”. Two $1,200 scholarships will be awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year. We ask for your help in circulating information about this award.
Please forward the attached flyer within your college and/or department and to eligible students. If you would like to nominate a qualified student, please send the nominee’s name and email address to the Office of the Executive Vice President/Vice President for Academic Affairs at uspscholarships@uillinois.edu, and they will forward an application to the student. Nominations would be appreciated by November 27, 2023, as the application deadline for this scholarship is December 4, 2023.
