Dear faculty,

I hope your Spring semester is off to a great start! The Office of Engaged Learning (OEL) is excited to offer classroom visits to share information about our programs and the benefits they can provide to your students. These visits are a great opportunity to help students learn about experiential learning opportunities like Internships and Study Away, as well as how they can get involved.

If you are interested in scheduling a classroom visit, please complete the request form: Presentation & Classroom Visit Request - Office of Engaged Learning. You can also find the link on our OEL website.

Please note:

  • Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
  • You will need to provide at least 2 options for date/time to facilitate scheduling. We will do our best to schedule your first-choice date/time whenever possible.
  • Visits can be range from 10-15 minutes to a full class period. 10-15 minutes provides a brief overview of all OEL programs; longer visits can cover more in-depth information and useful tips about specific programs
  • We are available for both in-person and virtual classroom visits.
  • Once you submit your request, you can expect a response from oel@uis.edu within 5 business days to finalize scheduling.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We look forward to connecting with you and your students!
