Demo in BSB 108 for new anatomage learning lab.

Construction Highlights

UHB 2029 Computer Lab Construction - A project is underway to expand the capacity of UHB 2029. Currently, the room can accommodate 24 students, but capacity will expand to 46 seats. The majority of the work to be done is electrical, which will involve pulling data and power from nearby closets. Work is expected to be completed in time for the Spring 2024 Semester.

VPA Kiln Roof - A contractor will be on-site to replace a portion of the roof of VPA. The affected area is on the southwest side of the building over the kiln area. Depending on the weather, work will be done by the end of October, but may be extended into the beginning of November if the weather does not cooperate.

Anatomage Labs - Construction is underway in BSB and HSB to create two anatomage learning labs. Room 108 in BSB and Room 110 in HSB are undergoing extensive remodeling, including the installation of ceiling grid and LED lighting. HVAC updates, patching and painting walls, and deep cleaning will be completed before furniture and equipment are moved in and classes can be held in the Spring 2024 Semester.

SAB Exterior Refresh - F&S is working with a contractor to apply fresh paint to the exterior of the SAB building. Quotes are in and a contractor has been selected. We are hopeful materials will arrive in time to allow the work to be done before the winter winds blow!

Upcoming PAC projects - In collaboration with Performing Arts Services, F&S has several upcoming projects in PAC. Stay tuned for timelines on the projects listed below:

  • PAC 155 (formerly E) refurbish (walls, electrical, IT/electronics, paint

Health Services - New Location

Fall Office Transitions

Facility renovations and transitions continue as we collaborate with our campus partners to realize the goal of more efficient use of space and to better centralize offices for student convenience and staff operations.

Completed moves this month:

  • Health Services has moved and can now be found with their Counseling Services colleagues in HRB 64.
  • Internation Student Services has moved into BSB 20 (formerly occupied by Health Services) as they await the construction of their new space in UHB. If all goes to plan, they will be in their new UHB space for the Fall 2024 Semester.

Upcoming moves:

  • HR Labor Relations will move into room 10, the space vacated by ISS.
  • The Office of Disability Services will move down the hall to room 109.

Updates about these renovations and moves can be found on the Summer and Fall Facility Transformations webpage
