Illinois Springfield (2-9-3, 1-8-2 GLVC)
UIS turned in competitive performances last weekend, dropping a 2-1 match to Maryville on Friday and a 1-0 decision to McKendree on Sunday.
Against Maryville, Jack Hudson scored in the second half off an assist from Jero Bencomo to give UIS a 1-0 advantage, but the Saints equalized on a penalty kick before netting the game-winner in the 88th minute. In the McKendree match, the Bearcats generated more chances, but Landon Amick made seven saves to keep UIS within striking distance.
Hudson and Robin Lemke Bergseth remain tied for the team lead with five goals apiece, while Corne Boshoff follows closely with four. UIS has shown multiple scoring threats and will look to make a statement against one of the league's top teams.
Between the posts, Edoardo Pinna and Amick continue to share time and have both produced strong performances. Pinna tallied eight saves in the 1-1 draw at No. 20 Lincoln and six saves against UMSL, while Amick collected 10 saves across last weekend's games.
Indianapolis (8-3-3, 6-3-2 GLVC)
The Greyhounds enter the weekend third in the GLVC standings and lead the conference in total goals scored (31). Their offensive balance has been a key strength, with 13 different goal scorers this season and eight players netting multiple goals. Gio Terlizzi and Alvaro Sanchez pace UIndy with six goals each.
UIndy is coming off a 1-1 weekend, falling 3-2 to UMSL before posting a 5-2 Senior Day win over Maryville. Goalkeeper Keerti Unnamatia has played 1,080 minutes and holds a .766 save percentage with 36 saves, recently sharing time with Joey Schrand but playing the full match in the Maryville win on Sunday.
