I am writing to advise that a few minor changes have been made to the UIS Levels of Governance (LOG) policy document. The updated LOG can be found on the Academic Affairs Curriculum Planning page.

The following changes were made to the LOG policy document: 

• Correcting the internal governance steps for deleting an ECCE course and adding or deleting an ECCE attribute.
• Adding internal governance steps for the addition of on-ground delivery to an existing online program.
• Updating the external governance process for graduate certificates:  All graduate certificates (regardless of the number of hours) must be reported to IBHE as an Annual Listing item.

The above LOG changes were reviewed and approved by:

• Cecilia Cornell, Graduate Education
• Brian Moore, Graduate Education & Internal Governance Liaison
• Brandon Schwab, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost
• Jorge Villegas, Undergraduate Education

The updates to the LOG were reported to Campus Senate as an Informational Item on September 27, 2024.  The new LOG policy document takes effect today, October 1, 2024.
