In July 2006 the State of Illinois passed the Volunteer Emergency Worker Higher Education Protection Act. This state law provides for accommodation to be made for students who volunteer to serve as emergency workers. If an absence is the result of a student’s role as a volunteer emergency worker an instructor is required to accommodate the absence within reason.

Financial aid for the Spring 2022 semester is scheduled to be disbursed on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Any funds exceeding your University charges after your student account has been paid in full will be refunded to you by the University Bursar. Spring 2022 financial aid refunds will start occurring on an ongoing basis as of January 13, 2022 , if not sooner. An e-mail will be sent to your official university e-mail account once the refund has been processed.
