The UIS Observer (https://uisobserver.com/) is the award winning, student-run, editorially independent online multimedia newspaper at UIS. Today, an ability to communicate--to tell a story and report facts fairly and effectively no matter what the medium--is so important, especially for college graduates. The Observer provides an excellent way for students to both gain skills and practice those skills, but we are always hoping to afford even more opportunities for our students.
