UIS Baseball Capital Projects Fund

This fund supports UIS Baseball projects in the Department of Athletics in the Chancellor's Office at UIS. UIS Baseball has a goal to develop a premier baseball stadium that will be recognized as one of the top NCAA DII venues in the Midwest region. The stadium will serve as a great asset to the community, fan base, alumni, donors, corporate partners, high schools, and many other benefactors. The first step toward this premier baseball stadium was a synthetic infield turf, celebrated with a ribbon cutting on March 13, 2018. The turf provides a competitive advantage to the team, which is able to practice in inclement weather now. In addition, the infield turf will be a major resource for the development of youth baseball in the Springfield community, and an outstanding recruiting tool for UIS. You can have a role in future enhancements, which include a covered hitting and training facility, locker rooms and clubhouse, restrooms and concession area.
