The University of Illinois Springfield women's golf team appeared in the first numerical regional rankings of the spring 2024 season. The Stars have been tabbed twelfth with two regular season appearances remaining.
NCAA Division II women's golf teams are divided into four regions: Central, East, West, and South. The Prairie Stars fall in the East region.
Five of the seventeen teams ranked in the East Region come from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), including No. 2 Indianapolis.
UIS finished 11th at the Emerald Coast Classic and 14th at the Findlay Spring Invitational early in the season, both tournaments stacked with ranked opponents. The Prairie Stars return to action next weekend in Wheaton, Ill.

Postseason Outline
The postseason begins with the GLVC Championships on April 26-28 in Coal Valley, Ill. The Midwest Regional will be hosted at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., and the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships are set to take place at Orange County National in Winter Haven, Fla.
