Liz Uhl and Jessenia Lawson have been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, which recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Nominees meeting the criteria of a 3.50 cumulative GPA and either competing in ninety percent of games played or starting 66 percent of games played earned all-district honors. Thirty-four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) athletes appeared on the list.

Lawson averaged 17.1 points per game in her first season at UIS, shooting 44.7% from the floor. She ranked first in the GLVC in steals, fifth in scoring and top-10 in rebounding and assists. Lawson was a First Team All-GLVC selection.

Senior Liz Uhl scored an average of 13.4 points per game while making 43% from the field and 36.1% from three-point range. She led the GLVC in free throw percentage, making 87-of-89 to average 87.9%. Uhl earned a spot on the GLVC's Third Team this season.

Both Lawson and Uhl have been advanced to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The national ballot will be voted on by CSC members and the results will be announced on April 16th.
