The UIS Softball team dropped both games of the doubleheader on Sunday against Drury in a day filled with inclement weather and delays. UIS falls to 23-17 on the season with a 7-7 record in the GLVC. Drury improves to 23-18 on the year with an 11-5 record in conference play. 

GAME ONE (L, 0-10)

  • The Panthers dominated Game One

  • DU got the scoring started in the second inning 

  • The Panthers hit three RBI singles, followed by an RBI double to take a 4-0 lead

  • Drury added another run in the third on another RBI single

  • DU increased their lead to 10-0 in the fourth

  • The Panthers got the run-rule win after the fifth inning 

  • Kaley Adzick threw a no-hitter for Drury

  • Rosie Bartletti (7-5) took the loss in the circle

GAME TWO (L, 0-5)

  • Drury continued where they left off in Game Two

  • The Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the first on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single

  • DU hit a home run in the fourth 

  • Drury added another run in the fifth on an RBI single

  • The Panthers rounded out the scoring on a wild pitch in the sixth

  • Taylor Zawacki (4-6) earned the loss
