Ivan Dahlberg was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Baseball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Dahlberg slashed .533/.619/1.333 in four wins and scored 11 of the team's 68 runs.

Dahlberg, a sophomore from Minooka, Ill., played a major role in the weekend sweep of the Missouri S&T Miners. He hit .533 on 15 at bats with six extra-base hits. The starting catcher's eight hits, including three doubles and three homers, drove in 10 runs for the Prairie Stars.

Dahlberg helped UIS to a dominant run-rule win in the series finale, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs.

It is Dalhberg's first Player of the Week nod of his career. He is the fourth UIS baseball student-athlete to win the award in the 2024 season.
