Dear Colleagues,
Bob Smith has decided to resign from his position of Dean of the College of Public Affairs and Education effective Wednesday, December 20, 2023 and will be moving to the position of full professor within the School of Public Management and Policy with teaching responsibilities beginning in the fall 2024 semester.
I thank Bob for his service as dean and the positive contributions he has made to UIS in his leadership role. I also appreciate the contributions he will make in his role as faculty. An announcement about interim leadership of the college will be made in the coming days.
