Greetings, students!

Below is some important information for students regarding COVID-19 testing and vaccination policy compliance.

• The SHIELD saliva-based COVID-19 testing site is in Room 28 in the WUIS Building on the east side of campus. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• Individuals who are not fully vaccinated (initial series) against COVID-19 must test once per week. Compliance will be monitored by the Dean of Students office.
• If you have never tested with SHIELD before as a UIS student, you need to set up an account before your first visit. Information on how to do so is here: https://www.uis.edu/uisunitedinsafety/covid-19-saliva-testing
• Student vaccination records or exemption requests must be uploaded to your Medicat patient portal (via the UIS Health Services website) by Sept. 1. Students who receive an exemption must still test once per week.
• If you cannot test on campus during the SHIELD site’s hours of operation, you must provide proof of an outside test by uploading your results to your patient portal once per week. At-home test results are accepted, but you must have the date of the test written on the test and take a photo with the test to authenticate the result.
