Carmen Llopis Fabra of UIS women's tennis entered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) college tennis rankings this week. The Junior from Castellon, Spain enters the top-75 for the first time in her career at No. 71
Llopis Fabra is one of seven Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) women's tennis athletes in the top-75. She is 5-3 in singles matches, including wins against Rockhurst, Quincy, and Newman.
Llopis Fabra is 4-4 in doubles play paired with Franca Bucco. The duo saw a commanding 6-0 win against King University and a 6-1 defeat of Quincy in the month of March.
The UIS tennis teams are in action on the road against GLVC opponents McKendree and Indianapolis this weekend. Two UIndy women's tennis athletes are ranked in singles play: Tyffaine Pais and Diane Flament.
