About the Event

The University of Iowa College of Law invites you to the Law Bridge 2024 program. The program is designed to introduce diverse, under-represented, and non-traditional students to law school. This program is a way for you to learn what it is like to be a law student, develop a strong application, take two mock law classes, and listen and interact with current and former law students.

Schedule:

April 5: Introduction, followed by sessions on law careers, a mock class, law school tours, and group work.

April 6:  Dive into individual law admissions appointments, more group work , a student panel on law school life, and final presentations.

Important Details:

UIS Travel Arrangements:

We will depart from UIS at 11 a.m. on April 5th and return by approximately 9 p.m. on April 6th. Transportation, hotel, and meals in Iowa are all provided at no cost to students.

Sign-Up:

Mandatory pre-registration is required. Please contact the Pre-Law Center directly to express your interest. Once confirmed by us, we will provide the registration link.

Eligibility:  

This opportunity is exclusive to students who have not participated in this event before.

Deadline:

 Interested students must reach out to the Pre-Law Center before the University of Iowa's registration deadline on March 22, 2024.

Additional Opportunity:

For those unable to attend the Iowa event, we are planning a similar visit to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign School of Law on April 9. Priority will be given to students who are not attending the Iowa event. More details about this event will be communicated soon.

Please note that due to limited resources, we can only bring few students to this event. We encourage you to sign up before the seats fill out.
