This will be a discussion panel event where Black members of the Illinois Army National Guard will discuss opportunities, successes, and challenges. They also will discuss how they've managed to balance civilian and military careers, simultaneously, as a member of the reserve military forces. Attendees will get to hear panel members’ personal and professional experiences of military membership from the perspective of a black member of the armed forces reserve - challenged with responsibilities in local, state, and national defense matters.
