The Illinois Public Health Association (IPHA) advocacy speaker event provides students with an opportunity to learn directly from public health leaders and policymakers. The session focused on current health policy issues, legislative priorities, and strategies for effective advocacy to improve health equity across Illinois. Through the speaker’s insights, participants gained a deeper understanding of how public health professionals can engage in policy change while also building skills that connect academic learning to real-world community impact.
