We are turning our North Door Tables into a peaceful, self-serve retreat where students can take a moment to de-stress and refresh during finals week!

We will have a table with free snacks, including protein bars, trail mix, fruit snacks, and bottled water.

There will be gift bags in our new STU mugs where students can choose a finals recharge kits with calming essentials like tea bags, coloring books, fidget items, motivational cards, and brain teasers. One lucky random student will receive a pair of Quiet Loop earplugs in their mug!

UIS, in partnership with Lincoln Memorial Garden and the Sangamon Astronomical Society, will co-host a star party from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Lincoln Memorial Garden, 2301 E. Lake Shore Drive in Springfield.

Telescopes will be set up in Cawley Meadow, offering views of the Moon, planets Jupiter and Mars, and other celestial objects, including star clusters and nebulae. Constellation tours will also be provided.
