Dear Students —

UIS Commencement will be here before we know it, and our Commencement Committee is hard at work planning the 2026 ceremonies, slated for May 9. This year’s ceremonies will take place in downtown Springfield at the Bank of Springfield Center. To accommodate as many guests as possible for our graduates, we will be holding two ceremonies, divided by college:

• 12:30 p.m. – Graduates from the College of Health, Science and Technology AND the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
• 5:30 p.m. – Graduates from the College of Business and Management AND the College of Public Affairs and Education

There will be a ticketing system for guests. The number of tickets per graduate will be established once we have a clearer picture of the number of students who register to participate. We also will provide overflow seating featuring a livestream of each ceremony.

We are looking forward to hosting a meaningful, memorable and fun day for our 2026 graduates. Visit the Commencement website frequently for additional details as they are confirmed.
