Department Updates

Introducing the New Exit & Onboarding Notification System

We’re thrilled to announce a new collaboration between Human Resources and Information Technology Services to create a streamlined Exit & Onboarding Notification System designed to enhance the employee experience from day one. Hiring managers will be sent an onboarding questionnaire, initiated by the HR division liaison, to ensure new employees have everything they need to hit the ground running. Likewise, when an employee separates from the university, HR can trigger the offboarding process to ensure a smooth transition. Employees will have access to a personalized dashboard where they can view onboarding or offboarding details, helping them feel informed and supported. Additionally, the system automatically notifies key campus departments, ensuring everyone involved is aligned and prepared. We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated teams in ITS, HR, and our campus-wide testers who helped bring this vision to life. Our hope is that this system not only simplifies logistics but also fosters a welcoming and efficient start for every new UIS employee.
