UIS Women's Golf Finishes Strong at Midwest Ladies Collegiate

The UIS women's golf team took 13th place at the Midwest Ladies Collegiate, totaling 988 strokes over 54 holes at their fall season opener.
Tournament Summary
The Prairie Stars shot 334 in the opening round, followed by a 335 in the second round, and a final-round 319 on Tuesday.
Elaine Grant led the team with a total score of 228, tying for 16th place overall. Her rounds included a 7-over-par 79 in the first round, a 5-over-par 77 in the second, and an even-par 72 in the final round
Sara Prieto finished with a 54-hole score of +30, which included a 4-over-par 76 in the opening round, a 16-over-par 88 in the second, and a 10-over-par final round. Prieto's first-round score was a personal best
Arya Gadekar and Ira Joshi rounded out the scoring for UIS. Gadekar ended with a total of 256 strokes, while Joshi finished with 258. Both players contributed to the team's overall performance and showed steady play throughout the rounds
The tournament was led by Findlay, who claimed the top spot with a total score of 875
Missouri-St. Louis and Central Missouri followed in second and third place, respectively
