Full Time IT Technology Associate

The Office of ITS, at University of Illinois, Springfield (UIS), located in central Illinois, population 113,000, is seeking a Full Time IT Technology Associate to assist department with the following duties: Architect development environments; utilizing tools such as Github or SVN in continuous delivery, agile software delivery environment, full stack development with PHP and Node JS, application development HTML5, CSS, and Javascript libraries. Support highly scalable cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture; integrate with security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and Open ID, implement deployment pipelines. Provide process improvements analysis; apply continuous improvement models to current and new applications. Collaborate with stakeholders; meet with campus units to gather project requirements, participate in cross-campus initiatives on deployment and development changes. Perform development and connectivity (ODBC) to campus units for student system information and third party use of Banner, EDW, and related systems. Assist with institutional reporting. Research, test and provide recommendations for emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, IT management or a closely related field. Experience with writing reports using Business Object. Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Experience working with responsive design (XML, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, Vue.js, JavaScript, RESTful APIs). Experience with AD/LDAP, Shell (DOS, Powershell or BASH/KSH/CSH). Experience with Vue.js and PHP (incl Laravel, Tailwind CSS). Experience in mobile application development in iOS and Android. No travel required. Salary $53K.
