The Work Close to Home: Civil Rights Leadership in Springfield

Join us for The Work Close to Home: Civil Rights Leadership in Springfield, a fireside-style conversation highlighting local leaders whose work has shaped civil rights and community change in our region. This informal evening gathering invites participants to reflect on how national movements take root locally through courage, service, and sustained leadership. Centered on dialogue rather than lectures, the fireside chat will feature storytelling, reflection, and audience engagement. Light appetizers and warm beverages will be provided, creating a welcoming space for connection and conversation. All students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend and take part in this meaningful MLK Week experience. Open to all.
