Come and enjoy some snacks and games by the fire pit with the Diversity Center on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm. We will be having s'mores to roast in the fire and nachos for all to enjoy. There will be fun games to play, like cornhole, and music to listen to!
SIAN Know Your Rights Training
The Springfield Immigrant Advocacy Network will be presenting a "Know Your Rights Training" to all UIS students, staff and faculty. This training will include coverage of new bills HB1312 and HB3247. Attendees can expect to receive information about individual and immigrant rights.

Shades: Power to the Student
Join us for Shades from 3–5 pm!
Shades is a discussion-based event series open to all UIS students, faculty, and staff. Our goal is to create a safe, affirming space to explore identity while bringing together QTPOC (Queer & Trans* People of Color) students and allies on campus.
This week’s Shades, Power to the Students, is a Trans Visibility week event! We will focus on student rights and campus policies. Together, students, faculty, and staff will engage in open dialogue about how to use your voice, understand your rights, and navigate campus systems.
