Transfer and Graduate New Student Orientation: Taking Care of Business

Get ready for success at UIS! We've designed optional orientation programs to help you get settled in, feel prepared, and meet new people. 

Welcome to the exciting journey as a Prairie Star at UIS! We are thrilled that you have chosen our University! Our Orientation programs are designed to help you and your parents/family members on board as you embark on this new chapter in your life.

All first-time, first-year undergraduates and first-year undergraduate transfer students (bringing in less than 24 credit hours) are required to complete a hybrid Orientation, consisting of three parts:

About the Event

This program provides an opportunity for high school students to learn what it is like to prepare and present a legal case before the Illinois courts. Participating students gain a better understanding of the justice system and improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to articulate in a reasoned, thoughtful manner.
