Self Care to Reduce Stress

Self Care to Reduce Stress

Practicing self-care during stressful times is an important way to reduce your stress and anxiety levels.  However, during stressful times we tend to ignore our needs and limits.  It is during these times that it is extremely important to care for ourselves the most.  We need to exercise, get enough sleep, eat nutritious meals, take breaks and preserve our boundaries.

Relationships

Relationships

Going away from home for the first time presents many exciting opportunities and some uncomfortable situations that we’ve never encountered before. One of these is making new friends. Most of us went through life attending the same schools with the same kids with whom we had a lot in common. College ends all that, and the adjustments can be tricky!

Grief

It’s not only typical but understandable to experience a wide variety of reactions, which are often extremely disconcerting. The Counseling Center is here to provide support and assistance when that happens.
