UIS is proud to recognize Max Kunnert as the November Jimmy John's Athlete of the Month!



Kunnert was a key contributor in all six games as UIS finished November with a 3-3 record. He showcased his scoring ability by accumulating 107 points, averaging 17.8 points per game, which ranked him 5th in the GLVC for scoring.

Kunnert was highly efficient, shooting 56.3% (34-64) from the field and 43.3% (13-30) from three-point range, which ranked him 7th in the GLVC for three-point percentage. He also placed 9th in field goal percentage and 13th in three-pointers made per game, demonstrating his consistent scoring ability. In addition to his scoring, he contributed 7 assists, 24 rebounds, and 1 steal, showcasing his well-rounded performance. One of his standout moments came with a 28-point effort against Missouri-St. Louis.

The Jimmy John's Athlete of the Month award recipients for the 2024-25 season will be honored at the annual Night of Stars banquet in the spring. All honorees will also be in consideration for the UIS Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards at the end of the academic year.
