The UIS men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) on Friday night at Kiwanis Stadium. With this result, UIS moves to 4-3-3 overall and 4-1-3 in the GLVC, while UMSL stands at 3-3-4 and 1-2-4 in conference play.

Game Summary

• Despite attempts by Gabe Smyth and Corne Boshoff in the first half, the Prairie Stars were unable to find the back of the net during the first 45 minutes of play
• UIS held strong against a wave of shots in the middle of the half. Goalkeepers Edoardo Pinna and Austin Reis made important saves to keep the game scoreless through 45 minutes
• Linus Saewe put the Tritons ahead shortly after the halftime break, defeating Pinna one-on-one to score the opening goal
• In the 90th minute, the UMSL goalkeeper deflected a header from Joey Fitzgerald, and Or Levinstein capitalized, netting the equalizer for UIS
