UIS men's basketball (7-7, 2-4 GLVC) surged past Truman State (7-6, 1-4 GLVC) on Thursday Night, holding on for a 67-55 win in a hard-fought GLVC contest.

- The teams started evenly, both shooting well early on. However, UIS' strong defensive effort helped it build a ten-point lead with 7:00 remaining in the first half.
- The Prairie Stars dominated during a key six-minute stretch, outscoring the Bulldogs 20-6, and took a 33-20 advantage into halftime. UIS shot 40% from the field in the first half, including 46.2% from three-point range, while Truman State struggled to find its rhythm, shooting just 27.6% from the field.
- Both teams shot over 50% overall in the first ten minutes of the second half, each knocking down two three-pointers in that span. Despite Truman State's efforts, UIS maintained a comfortable 12-point lead at 49-37 midway through the second half.
- The teams traded baskets in a back-and-forth stretch, with Truman State attempting to rally, but efficient shooting and strong defense by UIS kept the Bulldogs at bay.
- Max Kunnert led UIS with 23 points, including five three-pointers, while Khalil Ross added 14 points and nine rebounds.
