Dr. Livia Arndal Woods earned her PhD in English Literature from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). As a scholar, she focuses on Victorian literature and culture, women and gender studies, and the medical humanities. Her first book, Pregnancy in the Victorian Novel, was published by the Ohio State University Press in 2023. As a teacher, Dr. Woods focuses on giving students at all levels the tools they need to claim authority in the classroom and a larger world of ideas.
