The AI Steering Committee is launching Special Interest Groups (SIG) for each of the dimensions outlined in the UIS AI Education Governance Framework. These SIGs will play a crucial role in operationalizing the framework. Each group will be responsible for:

  • Outlining comprehensive guidelines for their respective dimension.
  • Providing campus leadership with detailed information and recommendations to ensure effective implementation and alignment with the university's strategic goals.

Chairs for each group will report back bi-weekly to main AI Steering committee to provide updates on their progress. SIGs work should be wrapped up by late November.

Deadline for submission is September 19, 2025.

What Special Interest Groups would you like to participate in?

Joining a special interest group is an opportunity to directly shape the future of our campus. We are building teams of doers, not just advisors. This is an invitation to move from conversation to creation, to collaborate with colleagues, and to design and deliver practical solutions that will have a real and lasting impact on our shared environment.

Select one or more groups you are interested in joining.
